      Rohini Aggarawal

      Rohini Aggarawal is the Founder Partner with Corporate India Advisors LLP, leading the indirect tax practice and based out of Delhi. Rohini has over 20 years of experience in the field of taxes and corporate laws with a stint in PwC. Rohini has extensive experience of working on varied advisory assignments of multifaceted multinational companies in telecommunication, automotive, pharma, oil and gas, transportation etc.

      Sanjay Lunia is a Civil servant of the 1989 Batch (Indian Trade Service) and has worked in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) for 24 years before taking VRS as Joint DGFT – Mumbai.

      Given the long association with DGFT, he is extremely well versed with Foreign Trade and related Custom &Excise issues. He is well known in this field for his immense knowledge of trade policies and also for his problem-solving approach.

    • Renewable sector, currently a beneficiary of several indirect tax exemptions, may be a big loser if goods and service tax is implemented since the bill proposes to revoke most of these exemptions, according to Bridge to India, a renewable analyst house. The MNRE is believed to be pushing for a waiver from GST.

    • All services provided by government, governmental or local authority have been made taxable with effect from 1st April, 2016. Majority of these services would be under reverse charge. This would make all business entities making payments for regulator/licensing services to the government liable to service tax.
